Get ready, as you enter these palpable poems, to walk the streets of this great metropolis, be it 9th Avenue in Clinton, Duarte Square in SoHo, 82nd Street in Jackson Heights or “Lexington Avenue, heading downtown” and see the city with new eyes. These poems sizzle and ooze with sensuality. You can almost taste the “Colombian steak” and “grilled corn” of Jackson Heights, Queens or feel yourself gliding with the young man with the young man on his skateboard in “full body Spiderman suit” towards Astor Place. Your senses jolted, you might (and why not?) just fall in love again.

In this new collection of location extensive poems, poet/choral singer Carrie Magness Radna takes us on peripatetic adventures through her new home town of Manhattan and beyond. Her words, her images, her imaginations and site details have us out in the street walking beside her. Manhattan and the boroughs never looked better or more interesting.
—Patrick Hammer, Jr., author of the forthcoming poetry collection Fort Lee Local
